On the whole we can see that adults make adjustments full different aged addresses in order to make the message comprehend by them, and they have the ability to break the stream of speech into meaningful chunks for analysis.
In many cultures when adults make differences between how they speak according to the age of the addresses, infant, young children, older children, adults, etc.
The exaggeration of affect, the higher pitch, range and the steep rise and fall in intonation are used while talking to an infant than to others. The shorter / chunks of speech stream, they also use recurring words and preset new info either in the beginning or final position of the utterance.
Infants appear to be particularly attentive to speech in a relatively high pitch range and to the effective shading of such a speech.
